Child Safety Standards Policy

Child Safety Standards Policy

Last updated: 21-06-2025

At SPHER, we are firmly committed to the protection of children and to the active prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) across all aspects of our platform. Although SPHER is strictly intended for adult use, we recognize the importance of maintaining strong safety standards to proactively mitigate any potential risks and to remain fully compliant with international laws and the Google Play Developer Policy.

1. Age Restrictions and User Eligibility

SPHER is exclusively designed for users aged 18 and above. We do not permit registration or access by individuals under this age. Age confirmation is required during account creation, and our Terms of Service explicitly prohibit the use of the app by minors.

We clearly state our age requirement in all relevant documentation, including our Privacy Policy and onboarding flow. We take violations of this restriction seriously and reserve the right to permanently suspend any account suspected of being operated by or on behalf of a minor.

2. Prohibition of CSAE Content and Behavior

SPHER enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes, but is not limited to:

Uploading, sharing, or soliciting any content that depicts or references CSAE.

Attempting to engage in conversations that are sexually suggestive or exploitative toward minors.

Impersonating minors or misrepresenting age with the intent of engaging in CSAE-related activity.

Any user found to be engaging in such behavior will have their account permanently banned and, where appropriate, will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), relevant law enforcement agencies, and other global child protection organizations.

3. Detection and Moderation Systems

SPHER employs a layered moderation system that combines both automated and human review mechanisms:

AI-based content moderation tools are used to detect and flag inappropriate language, media, and behavioral patterns indicative of CSAE.

Manual review processes are in place to assess reported content, verify flagged activities, and ensure timely enforcement actions.

All reported incidents are reviewed with high priority by our internal Trust & Safety team.

We also use device fingerprinting and activity pattern recognition to prevent repeat offenders from rejoining the platform.

4. Reporting Mechanisms

Users have the ability to report any individual or piece of content directly through the app interface. We encourage prompt reporting of any suspected CSAE activity, and every report is treated with seriousness and urgency.

Upon receiving a report, we immediately investigate the incident. If we determine that CSAE-related content or conduct has occurred, we act swiftly to:

Suspend or terminate the offending account.

Preserve relevant data for legal purposes.

Report the incident to appropriate authorities and child protection agencies.

5. Legal Compliance and Cooperation with Authorities

SPHER fully complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to child safety, including but not limited to:

The U.S. PROTECT Act

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

The EU Child Sexual Abuse Regulation (CSAR) and related directives

We maintain active channels of communication with law enforcement agencies, government authorities, and nonprofit child protection organizations globally. We are prepared to cooperate with legal investigations and provide all necessary evidence when required.

6. Ongoing Commitment and Transparency

SPHER is committed to continuously improving its safety standards. Our internal policies are regularly reviewed and updated to remain aligned with:
